I want to set some new PRs this year.

Personal:

I started running in 2001.  My first 5K was the Salt Lake Classic that year.  I ran it in just under 33 minutes.  I was excited that I could run the whole distance.  My dad and I joked around about doing a marathon, but then we decided, "Why joke about it when we could actually do one?"  We trained for the Top of Utah marathon the next year and ran it in 5:38.  It was such a great feeling of accomplishment!

It's been fun to see how I've improved over the years. It's been such a blessing in my life to have met so many other running friends and to train under such a dedicated and selfless Coach (Bill Schmid).  I hope to keep improving and thriving in the great sport of running!

I was going to meet Coach Bill, Miriam, and T-4 at City Creek early this morning, but I was unable to fall asleep until 2:30 a.m.   So, I opted to sleep in and I ran three loops around Murray Park on my own.

If I may be so bold as to ask, "When are you planning on doing City Creek again? Would you be willing to allow one more into your group? What time do you usually go?"

Good job...at least you get some running today :)

Way to go! You salvaged a good run out of what could have been a decent excuse to take a day off.

Missee--I'm glad you asked! A couple of people from my running group do City Creek on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 at the gate. I have a hard time making it there since I work so many late nights! There is a bigger group that goes on Wednesday nights (I think around 6:00). Tracy1 on the blog is a regular attendee to that run. I don't know if that fits your schedule. I sometimes have a day off and go in the later morning if you would be interested in that.

Marie and Hildisvini--Thanks for the encouragement! I was tempted to just sleep a little longer, but knew I'd regret it!
